Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill
Take I-40 East. Merge onto US Hwy 70 East via Exit 306 toward Clayton / Smithfield / Goldsboro. Continue on 70 for about 120 miles, through Clayton, Smithfield, Goldsboro, Kinston, New Bern, Havelock, and Newport.
After leaving Havelock, drive 6.4 miles. You'll pass over railroad tracks, and the first stoplight you reach will be by the Bojangles and Food Lion. Go straight through this light and the next. At the third stoplight, take a right onto Hibbs Road. Drive 3.1 miles to the stoplight at the end of the road. There will be a Shell Gas Station on the left. Turn right on to Hwy 24 and drive 2.4 miles. On your left, you'll see a big green sign that reads, Whispering Pines Campground. Just past this is a Fuel Market gas station, The Gas Man, and Frank's Pizza and Subs.
From I-95: in Smithfield, take the US-70 East exit, and continue through Goldsboro, referring to the directions above.

Wilmington
Take US Hwy 17 (Market Street) north out of Wilmington. Drive straight through Ogden, Hamstead, Holly Ridge, and around Camp Lejeune Military Base.
Take the ramp onto Hwy 24 E toward Camp Lejeune / Morehead City. Travel on 24 for 33.3 miles through Swansboro, Cedar Point, and Cape Carteret. We are approximately 8 miles on the other side of Cape Carteret, on the right. When you pass Nine Mile Rd on the left, look to your right for a Fuel Market gas station, The Gas Man, and Frank's Pizza and Subs. Get into the turning lane and turn right at the Whispering Pines Campground sign, immediately after The Gas Man.
